Who are we?

Ci Eira started when Jordan & Dean welcomed Apollo, the first Alaskan Klee Kai to the family back in 2015. Since then they have been joined by Klee Kai from Texas and California in the USA, and formed the ‘kennel’ that is Ci Eira. They whole heartedly fell in love with this cheeky little breed. Their ways reminded them much like the foxes they keep, being so agile and inquisitive.

Their hearts were true stolen by these little ‘Ci Eira’, which means Snow Dog in the Welsh language.

Jordan & Dean are busy people with a huge passion for their animals. Not only do they have their dogs, whom they love unconditionally, they also have a private zoo/sanctuary on their land where they rehome, rescue exotic animals. They also have had successes breeding vulnerable species, working with zoos for conservation efforts in doing so. Both owners have a history rooted in animals, with Dean being brought up in a pet filled home and Jordan being a former veterinary nurse and RSPCA team member.

Neither initially intended to breed dogs, and Jordan was particularly against it, until she began working with the Alaskan Klee Kai. It being so rare a breed, they felt it was their responsibility to help the breed grow in the UK.

Our dogs

Currently, we have a number of Klee Kai who are all family pets. They grow up amongst the busy family and zoo life, and once retired from breeding are allowed to spend their lives remaining in the family. For this reason we do not have lots of breeding Klee Kai, and therefore we only consider ourselves small scale breeders as these dogs are our pets and family first.
Our puppy owners become part of the “pack”, as everyone who joins the Ci Eira family is just that, our extended family. We are in contact with all our puppy owners weekly, if not daily, as they are also friends. As a family, we support one another and offer help and advice when needed. Occasionally we try to meet up and let the dogs play, all over the country, as well as invite other Klee Kai owners or people interested in the Klee Kai to join in.

                                               Future breeders.

We are currently working with and/mentoring a few breeders. These breeders initially will be working under the umbrella of Ci Eira, and making good use of our methods, and waiting lists. So on occasion you will see litters posted from those breeders also.
